When the pressure is high, the carbon adsorbent adsorbs oxygen and let the nitrogen to pass through, and when the pressure is dropped to the normal pressure, the carbon adsorbent desorbs the oxygen and make it regenerate. The equipments of PSA nitrogen generator are usually two adsorption towers, one is used to adsorb oxygen and let nitrogen pass through and the other is used to desorb oxygen and to make it regenerate, thus the two towers keep cycling alternatively in nitrogen production and regeneration making nitrogen available continuously.
